I started my career as a British Army officer, serving in Iraq, Bosnia and Northern Ireland. The experiences gained during that period taught me the importance of leadership, judgement and decision-making under pressure.

Over the past 25 years I have worked across institutional investment management, operating leadership and board roles, founding and leading investment businesses, supporting founders and management teams, working alongside investors and helping businesses navigate periods of growth, change and transition.

Today, through Bowthorpe Growth Partners, I work personally with founders, boards and investors at critical moments in a company's development, as an Executive Chair, strategic adviser or interim leader. Where additional expertise is required, I draw upon a trusted network of experienced operators and specialists, providing clients with access to senior capability without the cost and complexity of building a full-time executive team.

My experience spans fundraising, acquisitions, board leadership, value creation and organisational change across founder-led, investor-backed and public companies.
